Privacy policy

TrueCost Ledger, made by AppNookStudio · Last updated October 29, 2026

In short: your business records stay on your own device. TrueCost Ledger has no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and never sends your records to us or anyone else.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter (sales, purchases, expenses, transfers, settings and your unlock code) is saved in your browser’s storage on the device you’re using. It isn’t uploaded to a server, and we can’t see it.

Because of this, each device keeps its own copy. If you clear your browser’s data or uninstall the app, records that haven’t been backed up can’t be recovered. Use Settings → Backup & restore to keep a copy.

What we don’t collect

Backups and exports

Backup (.json) and export (.csv) files are created on your device and saved where you choose. They contain your business records, so keep them somewhere safe.

Hosting

The app’s files are delivered by Cloudflare Pages. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Your business records are never part of this, because they never leave your device. After the first visit, the app works offline.

Purchases

If you buy the full version, the payment is handled by the store you buy from (for example Etsy, Gumroad or the Microsoft Store) under that store’s privacy policy. We receive the order details the store shares with sellers, such as your name and email, and use them only to deliver your purchase and give support.

Support emails

If you email us for help, we use your message and email address only to reply. We don’t sell or share them.

Children

TrueCost Ledger is a business tool and isn’t aimed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
